HANDFASTINGS & CEREMONIES
I am a Priestess of Goddess and Priestess of Avalon trained at the Glastonbury Goddess Temple in the United Kingdom, and will dedicate myself as Priestess in 2021. The Glastonbury Goddess Temple is the first Temple to have been officially recognised in the Western world in modern times. It is located on the sacred land of Avalon, once an island still shrouded in the mists of its legendary ancient history.
My Priestess Training enables me to act as Celebrant for Handfastings, Weddings, and other Ceremonies.
What is a Handfasting?
Handfasting is a beautiful, symbolic marriage ceremony, dating back to Celtic times. It represents a spiritual, nature oriented ritual, where couples of all genders and backgrounds unite and indeed ‘tie the knot’ by binding hands together with wonderful, coloured ribbons or cords, to symbolise their union of love. Handfasting belongs to a variety of cultures and spiritual traditions, not only the Celtic one, but also, for instance, the Nordic one.
If you are looking for a romantic and spiritual ritual to celebrate your love union, immersed into the freshness of a forest, on the sea shores, in a blossoming meadow, during the day or at sunset, handfasting is the perfect ceremony for you.
